Our Director’s Message Regarding Typhoon Sendong

Dear friends,

You may have read and seen in the news the devastation of storm Sendong (international code name Washi). Our communities especially in Iligan City, Cagayan de oro and Opol and in Negros Oriental (Valencia, Dumaguete and Sibulan) had been severely affected.

We are conducting assessment and initial relief work. We would like to solicit your help in whatever way you can.

Items that are direly in need: ready to eat food, water, blankets, mosquito nets, footwear, raincoats, medicines, alcohol, first aid kits, sanitary napkins, panties, flashlights and batteries, malong, kitchen, eating and cooking utensils.

Your help would be able to provide immediate relief especially in unserved and underserved areas and help to prepare them for longer term rehabilitation. Psycho-social services are also being planned especially for children and elderly to cope with their situation.

Please visit our website and facebook for more information and photos. We will keep you posted of developments.

Our offices and field centers in Manila (Quezon City), Davao city and Linamon, Lanao del Norte will be open and there will be staff to receive your donations.
